Supporting EB families affected by conflict

DEBRA International is continuing to provide support to DEBRA International to work with key stakeholders in delivering dressings, medicines, and nutritional needs to EB families fleeing conflict. Our DEBRA International representative Dr Zlatko Kopecki has been a large part of that effort working with a team of Executives, partners from Red Cross Singapore, EURODIS, and colleagues from DEBRA Ukraine, to provide much-needed support for Ukrainian EB families. To date, we have helped over 65 families living with EB flee conflict and obtain support in neighbouring countries all over Europe.  Being a former refugee himself, Dr Kopecki is very passionate to be able to help in a small way. “It is rewarding to know that we are making a real difference to EB families affected by conflict” he said. Dr Kopecki recently received a silver medallion as a token of appreciation from DEBRA Ireland for his work in helping Ukrainian EB families.
