Podiatry Clinics
DEBRA continues to identify the importance of specialised EB podiatry services due to the positive impact on the quality of life that can be achieved for people living with all types of EB. To date DEBRA Australia has worked with all EB centres to support access to specialised podiatry services (including pump priming the first EB podiatry post at Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital over 7 years ago).
Introduction to new Podiatry services for EB individuals in NSW.
An EB Podiatry service is available for all EB individuals across NSW. Patients can access the service at St George Hospital, Kogarah, Sydney with Dr. M. Tariq Khan. You will need a Care plan (EPC) from your GP, which will give you 5 visits a year and DEBRA will provide the gap funds for the visit and management. We feel this will allow access for much needed support of all our EB community.
