Sue initially started her working career as a nurse and taking on different opportunities over the years her position has now evolved to an Administrator position for DEBRA Australia.
Sue and her family first became involved with DEBRA QLD in 1999 when her daughter Alex was born with Dominant Dystrophic EB. As the Secretary for DEBRA QLD for many years in a volunteer capacity, the position then graduated to the Secretary for DEBRA Australia in 2005 when the new entity was established. Sue then became the first DEBRA Australia employee in 2007 working part time as the Coordinator for the national body, while still supporting DEBRA in a volunteer capacity. Meeting families from all over Australia living with EB has inspired Sue to help make a difference, along with a dedicated team who have got DEBRA Australia to where is today.
